You’ll be picked up at Belfast City centre or Derry city centre and welcomed aboard a luxury mini coach by your guide. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable, your guide will provide insights into the landscapes and history of the areas you visit, and look after you every step of the way.
The dramatic Slieve League Cliffs are our first port of call. At the edge of the Gaeltacht, they rise around 2,000ft or 600m above the sea and are said to be the highest seacliffs in Europe.
Here you can roam the wild paths and breathe in the purest of air before visiting the Slieve League Cliffs Centre and learning the history and stories associated with this remarkable place. You’ll also find the wonderful Tí Linn Café which serves up delicious locally-produced food, and its Craft Shop with local crafts, knitwear, photography and art works.
Next it’s Glencolmcille Folk Village, a remote coastal settlement of just seven thatched roof cottages. Each cottage is an exact replica of a real cottage lived in by a local person in centuries gone by. You can wander through the village, explore the fisherman’s house, the pub-grocer and schoolhouse, and see the tools they used, the beds they lay on and what they used for light and heat. You might even catch a traditional Irish music session!
